About the Garden

Autumn setting in – chill in the air

Although these days are still warm and sunny we can feel the nip in the air and we are just maintaining what is here. Weeding is still on-going and we feed every couple of weeks with home-made compost and a general fertilizer – like 5:1:3. It is always sad to pull out the plants that have stopped producing but they do go onto the compost heap so will eventually arrive back in the greenhouse as soil food.

Wish we could get broad bean seeds. They are not readily available here in South Africa. Anyone know a good source?
